Laser Strip Welding Machines

Efficiently welded – uninterrupted production
Templet offers various systems for welding metal strips, which are used wherever strip material is processed in coil form and continuous production is required.

Description

To ensure uninterrupted continuous production in a coil feeding system, it is necessary to connect the end of an unwinding coil to the beginning of a new coil. This process is achieved by welding the two coil ends together.

Templet offers two basic system solutions for this application:
the semi-automatic LXH series as well as the fully automatic LXM series.
The two types of systems differ primarily in their handling and degree of automation.

Belt welding machine

LXH-SERIES

  • Semi-automatic laser band welding machine
  • Available in three sizes: LXH80.0 - LXH120.0 - LXH250.0
  • Depending on the design, bandwidths of up to 250mm are possible.
  • Integrated, fully automatic weld seam smoothing
  • Electrically driven wheels for use on multiple production lines
  • Use in stamping plants, strip coating plants, composite pipe plants
  • Integrated laser: 300 - 1500W

  • Laser-Bandschweißmaschine

    Belt welding machine

    LXM-SERIE

    • Fully automatic laser band welding machine
    • Available in two sizes: LXM80.0 - LXM120.0
    • Depending on the design, bandwidths of up to 120mm are possible.
    • Integrated, fully automatic weld seam smoothing
    • High degree of automation
    • Use in stamping plants, strip coating plants, composite pipe plants
    • Integrated laser: 300 - 1500W
      • Laser-Bandschweißmaschine

        Further information:

        LXH series:
With the semi-automatic LXH series, the machine operator manually inserts the strip ends. First, the end of the running strip is clamped into a clamping device. Then, the beginning of the new strip is also positioned in a separate clamp. After this manual step, the welding process and the subsequent smoothing of the weld seam are performed automatically by the system.

        LXM series:
The fully automatic LXM series, on the other hand, offers a significantly higher degree of automation. Here, the operator only needs to insert the beginning of the new strip into a designated clamping robot. The entire subsequent process – from positioning and welding to weld seam processing – is fully automated. No operator presence is required during the welding process, which increases ease of use and further improves process reliability.
