Trimming station

The trimming station is used to trim both sides of a metal strip during the production of composite pipes. This is necessary to remove oxide layers from the material edges.

The belt is pulled through the trimming station by a downstream drive, thereby powering the cutting rollers. The height and spacing of the cutting rollers can be adjusted according to the belt thickness and the required width.

To reduce material costs, our trimming station trims the strip by 0.8 mm on both sides, depending on the material and its thickness. These thin edge strips result in very little material waste.
